The project site is a Class 1 stream that flows into North Gray's Creek on the north shore of the Magothy River on the lower western coastal plain of the Chesapeake Bay in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The intent of this project was to restore 95,702 sq.ft. of degraded wetlands. This project now serves to restore a Sea Level Fen (a type of bog or peatland).
