Central Sanitation is an integrated Regenerative Stormwater Conveyance system seamlessly connecting stormwater management features within the developed section to the regenerative stream channel restoration. In the upland parking area, depressed parking islands were designed allowing drainage into a cobble seam which ultimately drains in to the restored stream channel. This technique has allowed for the elimination of traditional storm drains and stormwater piping. Underwood & Associates' designed and engineered the approach. Currently, the restoration is under construction and Underwood & Associates is providing construction management on site.
